Long time without a real update...
Current Location: Seattle
I've been working at the tech startup Pelago, makers of Whrrl for a few months now. It's been a ton of fun, and I've learned more than I thought was possible. Not only do I have a better appreciation for the work that goes into a startup, but I'm eager to see what challenges tomorrow brings. I don't know if my counterparts at large companies XY&Z share my enthusiasm. :)
In other news, I've picked up a new camera bag.. this one will fit my laptop so I've made it my primary carrying case. Hopefully, with my camera with me all day I'll have more pictures to share.
I'll try to update this more frequently, but you never know with how busy I am these days.

Erlang is the Future.
Just to make chris upset, I am proclaming Erlang the future of programming. Plz stop all development in other languages. I will only review/build/test/checkout code written in Erlang. Thx.

So, I finally broke down and installed Gallery on this site. I moved my HDR photos into an album there and maybe someday I'll upload more. There's a link at the top or if you are too lazy to look for it. Click Here

New Doc
"Hijacking Linux Syscalls & Writing a Linux Keylogger: A Case Study" has been added to docs. This talk was given at a SIGMil meeting on Jan 20, 2006. It covers some background information on how Linux syscalls work as well as the old 2.4 method for replacing syscalls. However, the intent of the doc is to cover finding the sys_call_table[] in the 2.6 kernel.

CTF results
SIGMil places 4th (out of 22) in CTF. Our team placed first out of all teams from the United States, beating schools like: UT Austin, Georgia Tech, and UCSB.

Thanksgiving Break
On break now, hopefully this will give me the time to add more content to this site. Look for more in 'Projects' and 'Docs & Tutorials' in the coming days.

Success!
Many updates have come in short time. Random headlines on the main page, custom written content management, mysql backend... lots of code being thrown around behind the scenes. The only important feature not yet added is the ability to edit news posts. Right now only add and delete exist... so I better get it right the first time. :)

Finished creating pages for the other section of the site, including "more headlines". Next on the list of things to do is a better content management system. This will likely involve MYSQL and some more PHP code.

Major website revision. Been busy with stuff and things lately, however I'm taking this time to update..
In case you are wondering, the headlines are provided by slashdot and reuters via RSS feeds. The actual work of fetching and parsing of these RSS feeds is done with the help of MagpieRSS.
The code I used for the headlines in very short ( < 20 lines ), but it is also very uninteresting. A near-future improvement would be to randomly choose a headline from the pool of those offered. Alas, this must wait for a later date.
Other things to be added/fixed in the near future are the projects, doc & tutorial, links, and contact pages. Until that happens, you can visit the old versions at oldSite
